The call for a more tight security on wireless technology is getting stronger. Despite the drastic measures observed by mobile phone operators to keep their customer secure, they should upgrade from time to time. Security researchers have released tools that they say; make it easy to see what security systems operators use to stop eavesdropping or others listening to conversations.

Dr. Karsten Nohl heads this project in order to expose mobile phone operators who have not updated their security system that protects their customers. Since most calls are protected by encryption with huge number of keys it is almost impossible to eavesdrop. As a challenge to mobile phone operators Dr. Nohl have found a way to break the algorithms in minutes-which accordingly algorithms can be broken in 100,000 years. If the operators have installed appropriate software operators can avoid the attack.

Dr. Nohls project does not threaten the mobile phone operators instead he wants to challenge them simply because Mobile technology has been the mainstream of cultures. Going back when GSM was still commonly use, no one has ever thought that its encryption would be broken in fact that was a laughing matter which now came into reality. Customers have the right to make their conversations confidential and it is the responsibility of mobile phone operators to protect it.

At last one test agency Stiftung Warentest has released their test results for the iPhone 4 antenna problem. By the way this agency is an authority on consumer product testing in Germany and they have courageously proved that iPhone 4 really has a problem on antenna performance.

With the complaints from consumers around the world that they experience sudden drop calls when holding their iPhone 4 on the bottom corners, Stifttung Warentest found out that when the antenna gap in the bottom left corner is covered by a finger, the signal will immediately drop 90%. So no wonder drop calls are common especially in areas where there is weaker signal. The same situation happens for internet browsing when fingers are position in the soft spot.

The agency has also tested other smartphones all of which were accused by Apple that also looses signal. Accusation of Apple confirmed that these Smartphones looses signal by up to 25% only, this reception is still strong enough to prevent drop calls.

BBC: More than a billion mobile phone connections have been added to the global tally in just 18 months, according to Wireless Intelligence.

There are now more than five billion connections worldwide.

In many regions, penetration exceeds 100%, where there is more than one connection per person in the country.

Ben Wood, mobile phone analyst at CCS Insight said the mobile phone may be “the most prolific consumer device on the planet”.

“If you just take the UK in 1987, when the first mobile companies launched, an industry insider predicted a maximum of 10,000 phones.

“Now almost every adult, child and domestic pet seems to have one, given that 30 million phones are sold every year in the UK,” he said.

The four billion connections mark was surpassed at the end of 2008, and analysts at Wireless Intelligence predict six billion connections worldwide by the middle of 2012.

The Asia-Pacific region including India and China is the main source of growth, accounting for 47% of of global mobile connections at the end of June 2010, according to the firm.

“Five billion phones means there are more than three times as many phones as personal computers,” said Mr Wood.

“This device has become part of the fabric of society, whether a teenage girl taking a Blackberry to bed with her, or a farmer in an African village trying to find out the latest crop prices.”

He added that more than 10 billion phones have been sold worldwide since 1994, with market giant Nokia selling 3.4 billion alone.

“This means that there are 5 billion phones sitting in people’s bottom drawers somewhere,” he said.

If am going to tell you that growth hormones aren’t just for the height would you believe me? Well I have learned this a while ago while reading an article in the internet; human growth hormones are also effective ingredient to lose weight. If you have been dealing with weight problems maybe you are not producing enough growth hormones that assist in the process of metabolism. According to studies people with height problems also have weight problems. The shorter the person is the higher the tendency of obesity this is because growth hormones are activator for metabolism. With this new findings there are now hgh pills available in the market, these are either prescribe by doctors to facilitate growth as well as increase the rate of metabolism in the body. Human growth hormone indeed is an alternative to synthetic weight loss pills that might have bad side effects in your body.

Samsung is having a second go at it with their Android-powered Samsung I8520 Galaxy Beam, which is going on sale in Singapore starting next Saturday (their first attempt was the Samsung i7410).
The obvious main attraction of the Samsung I8520 Galaxy Beam is the pico-projector with WVGA resolution. The device is able to project images between 5 and 50 inches in size.
But the rest of the Samsung Galaxy Beam is quite enticing too – 3.7″ WVGA SuperAMOLED touch screen, Android 2.1 with TouchWiz 3.0 running on a 800MHz CPU and a 8MP camera with 720p video capture (the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S has only a 5MP camera).
The first carrier to offer the Samsung I8520 Galaxy Beam will be StarHub. They will show off the phone in some stores starting tomorrow but you’ll have to wait until July 17 to actually be able to purchase. The price starts from 398 Singapore dollars (which works out to 228 euro or 288 US dollars), depending on the contract of course.

Apple just issued their official statement on the non-existent iPhone 4 reception issues. What iPhone 4 users are experiencing when they grip the lower left corner is just their real signal, poor as it seems. Their poor signal has so far been obscured by the deceptive signal bars, which obviously tend to exaggerate the signal levels due to some erroneous formula in the iPhone software.

Apple’s statement on the iPhone 4 reception issues (which they previously dismissed as nonexistent), says that all phones have issues in areas of poor signal and it’s just that the iPhones show the available signal in a wrong way. Apple plans to fix that with a software release that should make graphical representation of available signal more real. End of problem.

It is a real shame, as Music WithMe is able to sync with iTunes playlists to BlackBerry devices over Wi-Fi or 3G. No USB cable has to be used to make this process work. So that means that the BlackBerry has wireless syncing and the iPhone does not? Man, what a strange world we live in. Maybe that’s saved for the iPhone 5.
