Sony Ericsson’s financial result is better
Sony Ericsson has released it’s latest financial results. According to Bert Nordberg, president of Sony Ericsson, the refreshed portfolio of company coupled with the business transformation programme has started to positively impact its financial results. Cost saving activities and resource realignment are necessary to build a leaner and more efficient organization. Income before taxes for the quarter, excluding restructuring charges, was a loss of Euro 40 million compared to a loss of Euro 198 million in the previous quarter. The reduced loss was due to the improved gross margin and the benefits of reduced operating expenses. The earnings are better now, but is still in red, but as was stated by their president the Sony Ericsson is optimistic to gain more in the coming months as the communication entertainment brand based on an exciting portfolio.
